PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to all landowners owning land within the boundaries of the South Broward Drainage District that the Board of Commission­ers of the South Broward Drainage District will hold a virtual public hearing at 8:30 A.M. on Thursday, July 30, 2020. This virtual public hearing is for the purpose of discussing and adopting the tentative budget and tentative assessment­s for necessary operations of the South Broward Drainage District for the 2020/2021 fiscal year beginning October 1, 2020 and to hear all objections to the tentative budget and tentative assessment­s and make such changes as the Board of Commission­ers deem necessary. The call-in informatio­n for the virtual public hearing is as follows: the call-in number is 1-646-749-3122; the code is 707-018-309 #; and for the audio pin, just press #. If any member of the public has issues with calling in to the virtual public hearing, they shall call 954-275-1756 for assistance. In addition, members of the public may attend the public hearing in person at the offices of the South Broward Drainage District located at 6591 SW 160th Avenue, Southwest Ranches, Florida 33331. The District’s offices are able to accommodat­e a total of 15 persons on a first-come basis; and participan­ts wishing to attend in person shall be required to wear a protective face covering. Any member of the public wishing to comment publicly on any matter, including items on the agenda, may also submit their comments by e-mail to kevin@sbdd.org. All comments submitted by e-mail, if read orally, are three minutes or less, shall be read into the record. All comments submitted by e-mail shall be made part of the public record. If a person decides to appeal any decision made by the Board with respect to any matter considered at this public hearing, he/she will need a record of the proceeding­s, and that, for such purpose he/she may need to insure that a verbatim recording of the proceeding­s is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.

In accordance with the Americans with Disabiliti­es Act and Florida Statutes needing special accommodat­ion to participat­e in this public hearing should least 48 hours prior to the proceeding­s for assistance.
