The perfect answer: Get a dog!

-

There has been much in the press lately about boredom and other things happening while we are stuck at home. A recent article spoke about seniors and a new pet, and it sounded negative. We are both very up there in age and had not had a dog in over 20 years. Coincidentally, just over 2 years ago, we got ourselves a dog.

It was one of the best things we have ever done. The dog took to us faster than we took to her. She was 4 months old and we had her house-trained in just a very short time. Now that we are both stuck home together 24 hours a day, Roxy has been just great as an alternative to keep our minds still intact. We take her out walking. We take her to the dog park. We play and talk to her in the house. We are sure that she creates a very positive effect for us, especially during these past few months stuck at home because of the coronavirus.

We are addressing this to anyone but emphasizing seniors, even up in your 80s. You will do a great thing for yourselves and a greater service to the dog you adopt. You don’t have to go out and spend a lot of money. There are many animal shelters in the area. Visit a few and meet a dog that’s for you. The shelters will work closely with you to match you with a pet that will change your whole life around.

Change your lives, improve your lives, and do the same for the dog that you settle on. You have no idea how great this will be for you and your new pet.
