Sun Sentinel Broward Edition

Say it ain’t Joe

-

I have to ask if you folks are playing with a full deck. We all know the Sun Sentinel is as far to the left as possible, look at your choices during this last voting session. But to come out and say Joe Biden is your man of choice leaves a lot to be desired. This country for the first time is right on track to being the best nation in the world.

Let’s see. Your candidate for president was in office, both Senate and vice president, for over 45 years. What did he do? Basically nothing, and now you think he will be a good president. You folks down in Fort Lauderdale get some weed from Colorado to smoke. You all need some real help to think that just because of coronavirus and COVID that it’s all the president’s fault after three great years doing all that he has promised, even getting Israel and the UAE to have started a peaceful diplomatic relationship.

Shame on you and this paper, as I call to cancel it and will get the Palm beach Post instead. Goodbye!

Go Joe!

I have not heard nor read a more targeted, reasonable or eloquent case for the need to elect Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. Fact based to be sure, but the need to restore decency, establish true empathy and rekindle the pride and purpose of simply being an American citizen was spot on. Thank you for giving us a bible to be revisited as needed as this process continues. We will need it.

Opinion page is too opinionated

I feel that your opinion page urging us to vote for one party is not what a newspaper should do. We are aware of the good and bad of each party. However, to advertise your Democratic Party bias is bad journalism. I am sure that in journalism school this was part of your core courses.

When independent voters, as I am, make our decision on Election Day, we remember the unprofessional urging of your value system, as well as that of other so-called journalists on TV. You are unfortunately not remembering history. You probably will repeat the history of the last election.

I will be discontinuing my subscription to your paper due to your unprofessional and biased opinion for which I have been paying you.

Firing the Firer-in-Chief

Appropriate and telling that two producers from the show “The Apprentice” are involved with the production of the 2020 Republican National Convention. Donald Trump, as a business apprentice, had six bankruptcies. As the presidential apprentice, he has had a bankrupt four years of chaos, blatant corruption, a multiplicity of lies and a diminishment of America’s place in the world.

It’s time for the American people to come together and tell him, “You’re fired!”

The sea was angry that day, my friends

As a former U.S. Navy officer, it seems to me that Mr. Trice was not well-prepared to put to sea. [”Captain has ‘never faced anything’ like this shipwreck off Highland Beach,” Aug. 24] One of the most important things in sailing is knowing what the meteorological conditions are. I don’t have a boat, but if I did, there is no way I would have gone out with a tropical storm in the area. I live on the beach, and I’m always amazed that there are people in the water despite the red flags flying, as well as jet skiers zooming around in the heavy surf. Common sense anyone?
