Broncos game moved, Dolphins to play Jets next week instead
The Miami Dolphins’ game against the Broncos inDenver that was originally scheduled for Oct. 18 will be postponed and played later in the season the NFL announced Sunday afternoon.
The Dolphins will nowhost the NewYorkJetsnextSunday during Week 6 of the NFL season.
TheNFLpostponed thisweek’s Denver-New England game due to another positive coronavirus test with the Patriots Sunday morning, and that game was moved to next week forcing a flurry of schedule changes.
With the Dolphins game against the Jets moving up from Week 10 to Week 6, their bye moves fromWeek11 toWeek 7.
Dolphins game at home against the Los Angeles Chargers at moves from Week 7 to Week 10, and the Dolphins at Broncos moves fromWeek 6 toWeek11.
The Denver-New England game, originally scheduled for Sunday, had been moved toMonday night.
According to The Associated Press, the Patriots have closed their facility again after the positive test result, while the Tennessee Titans announced they closed their facilitySundaymorningafter a staff member tested positive.
The latest result also endangers the Titans’ game with Buffalo set for Tuesday night after it was moved fromSunday.
Before the schedule changes Sunday afternoon six games had been moved already this season with the league only in its fifth week of the season.
The NFL rescheduled New England’s game for a second straight week after reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year Stephon Gilmore tested positive. This latest positive result puts their outbreak at four, according
to the The Associated Press.
The Titans last played on Sept. 27 because of an outbreak that has now reached 24. They’ve already had a game with Pittsburgh first postponed, then rescheduled to Oct. 25. They sent out a statement saying they learned a staff member tested positive Sunday.
The Bears also had an issue, moving offensive lineman Badara Traore from their practice squad to the reserve/COVID-19 list on Saturday.
