Stadium safety

protocols: UM is allowing 13,000 fans. There will be socially distanced seating clusters, mobile touchless entry into the stadium with staggered gate entry times listed on tickets and required mask-wearing for stadium employees and fans while not actively eating or drinking. There will be no tailgating and no alcohol. Students will still not be permitted to attend home games after president Julio Frenk, after first announcing the restriction for the first two home games, deciding to extend it, citing its effectiveness.

Quick slant: The Miami Hurricanes have a chance to prove capable of bouncing back after their 42-17 loss at No. 1 Clemson that brought them back down to earth from the 3-0 start. Former Big East foes with Pittsburgh, UM is 27-11-1 all time against the Panthers, including wins in 20 of the last 23 meetings, dating back to 1984.

About No. 13 Miami (3-1, 2-1 ACC): The Hurricanes could use a better game in virtually every aspect of offense and defense after getting manhandled by Clemson both at the line of scrimmage and on the perimeter. After four night games, UM will play under the sun for the first time this season with the noon kickoff.

About Pittsburgh (3-2, 2-2): The Panthers will come in hungry after backto-back one-point losses to N.C. State and Boston College. Always stout defensively, Pitt leads the nation in sacks (25) and tackles for loss (52). Among teams that have played five games, Pittsburgh leads them all in total defense (263.4 yards allowed per game).
