Former President Ba rack O ba ma will be in Orlando on Tuesday to campaign for his vicepresident, JoeBiden.

The details of where and when the former president would appear were not immediately released.

The trip comes after Obama held a drive-in car rally for the Biden Campaign in Miami on Saturday. Florida could be a crucial state in the race between Biden and President Trump, who has held rallies in Sanford, Ocala, TheVillages and Pensacola in the past two weeks.

Obama visited Central Florida twice in the final twoweeks before the 2016 election, holding events for Hillary Clinton at the University of Central Florida and K issi mmee.

Obama, who won the state twice in 2008 and 2012, peppered his speech to rallygoers in Miami on Saturday with references to Florida, including appeals to Cuban and Puerto Rican voters.

“When a hurricane devastates Puerto Rico, a president is supposed to help it rebuild, not toss paper towels and withhold billions of dollars in aid until just before anelection,” Obama said, faulting Trump’s response to Hurricane Maria in 2017.

Obama also attacked Trump’ s calls for jailing and “lockingup” opponents.

“We will not have a[ president] with jail for just criticizing him,” Obama said. “That is not normal behavior, Florida. Youwould not tolerate it from a co worker ...‘ Florida Man’wouldn’t even do this stuff. Why are we accepting it from the president ?”

The Biden campaign drive-in car events are usually limited to about 50 invited guests and their vehicles, including at Obama’s Miami rally and vice-presidential candidate KamalaHarris’ events last week in Orlando and Jacksonville.
