■ Lions 23, Falcons 22: Matthew Stafford connected with T.J. Hockenson on an 11-yard TD pass as time expired and Matt Prater booted a 48yard extra point to lift the Lions to their second in a row — their first winning streak since early last season. Leading 16-14 late, the Lions allowed RB Todd Gurley to score a TD rather than allowing the host Falcons to run the clock down and kick a chip-shot FG towin the game.

■ Browns 37, Bengals 34: Baker Mayfield overcame a terrible start to throw for five TDs, including a 24-yard go-ahead score to Donovan PeoplesJones with 15 seconds left to secure the road win. Nursing sore ribs, Mayfield started 0for-5 — including an INT on his first attempt of the game. He then completed 22 of his next 23 passes. The last was the leaping grab by People-Jones to win it. Browns WR Odell Beckham Jr. suffered an apparent serious left knee injury early in the game. Bengals rookie QB Joe Burrow was 35 of 47 for a season-high 406 yards and three TDs.

■ Saints 27, Panthers 24: Drew Brees passed for287 yards and two TDs without two top WRs and rushed for another score to lead the Saints at home. The Panthers had driven across midfield in the final minutes when Marcus Davenport’s sack of Teddy Bridgewater led coach Matt Rhule to send out kicker Joey Slye for a 65-yard FG on fourth-and-19. The kick fell just short of the crossbar and the Saints ran out the final 1:55. Alvin Kamara gained 148 yards from scrimmage in the win.

■ Packers 35, Texans 20: Aaron Rodgers threw for 283 yards and four TDs as the visiting Packers rebounded from their first loss. Davante Adams had a career-high 196 yards receiving with two scores for the Packers. The Texans dropped to 1-6.

■ Washington 25, Cowboys 3:

Washington produced six sacks, and INT and a forced fumble that became a safety in a blowout victory at home that ended a five-game skid. Cowboys QB Andy Dalton left the gamein the third quarter with a concussion.

■ Bills 18, Jets 10: Josh Allen and the Bills were held out of the end zone for the first time this season, but Tyler Bass tied a franchise record with six FG to secure the win. It was the third gamein 13 days for the Bills. The Jets fell to league-worst 0-7.

■ 49ers 33, Patriots 6: Jeff Wilson Jr. rushed for a careerhigh three TDs and 112 yards before leaving with an ankle injury to power the 49ers. The Patriots’ 27-point loss was their largest at home under longtime coach Bill Belichick. QB Cam Newton was 9 of 15 for 98 yards with three INTs before being replaced by Jarrett Stidham in the fourth.

■ Bucs 45, Raiders 20: Tom Brady threw four TD passes to move past Drew Brees for the most in NFL history and ran for another to lead the Bucs on the road. Brady’s TD throw to rookie Tyler Johnson with 3:08 to play gave him 559 in his career, passing Brees.

■ Chargers 39, Jaguars 29: Justin Herbert, the No. 6 overall pick in the draft, got his first career win, throwing for 347 yards and three TDs as well as running for a score. The host Chargers snapped a four-game skid, while the Jags tied an NFL record by allowing 30 or more points in six consecutive games.
