Reward increased for information about slaying
Searching for Dania Beach woman’s killer
DANIA BEACH — Friends of a woman who was slain in her apartment the day after Christmas are pleading for information that could put her killer behind bars.
The woman’s friends raised an additional $3,000 to put toward the reward for information about her death, which is now up to $6,000.
“I want everybody here to help make sure that Aranee gets justice because she left us too early and we miss her,” friend Hughes Longelin said Monday in a news conference with WTVJ-Ch. 6.
Deputies were called to an apartment complex at 321 E. Sheridan St. about 10:30 p.m. on Dec. 26 where a neighbor heard gunshots. Inside, they found Aranee Mulakhut, 47, suffering from gunshot wounds.
Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue took Mulakhut to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood where she later died.
Detectives are circulating a picture of the 47-year-old woman, and a car the killer may have been driving, with the hope tips from the public will lead to an arrest.
Broward Court records show Mulakhut filed for divorce Aug. 17 from Panukorn Wongsaroj. This case was pending. Detectives said they are searching for a white fourdoor sedan that was involved in the deadly shooting.
