Past nominees to present at Globes

“Barb and Star” are headed to the Golden Globes — actors Kristen Wiig and Annie Mumolo will be among the presenters at the upcoming ceremony.

The Feb. 28 show will reunite several nominees and winners from last awards season: Joaquin Phoenix, Cynthia Erivo, Renée Zellweger and Awkwafina are also among the first batch of presenters announced Wednesday by the Hollywood Foreign Press Associatio­n.

Wiig and Mumolo’s latest film, “Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar,” was released last week.

The Globes will be bicoastal for the first time with Tina Fey and Amy Poehler serving as hosts. Fey will host live in New York and Poehler in Beverly Hills, California.

Netflix dominated the nomination­s earlier this month, with its film “Mank” and its television series “The Crown” leading the nominees.

Man arrested in death of Minaj’s father: A 70-yearold man arrested Wednesday in the hit-and-run death of rapper Nicki Minaj’s father stopped briefly to ask the injured man if he was OK but didn’t call for help, police said.

Charles Polevich faces charges of leaving the scene of an incident and tampering with physical evidence in connection with the death last week of Robert Maraj, 64, on New York’s Long Island.

“He was absolutely aware of what happened,” Nassau County Police Detective Lt. Stephen Fitzpatric­k said at a news conference.

“He got out of the car, and he looked at the deceased, got into his car, and made the conscious decision to leave instead of dialing 911, instead of calling an ambulance for the man,” Fitzpatric­k said. “He went home and secluded the vehicle. He’s well aware of what he did.”

Minaj, 38, was born Onika Tanya Maraj in Trinidad and was raised in the New York City borough of Queens. She has not made any public statement about her father’s death.

Harington, Leslie welcome baby: “Game of Thrones” stars Rose Leslie and Kit Harington have welcomed a baby boy, their first child together.

Harington’s publicist Marianna Shafran confirmed the birth Tuesday, saying Harington and Leslie are “very, very happy!”

It’s the first child for both Scottish actor Leslie, 34, and English actor Harington, 34, who married in 2018. Their relationsh­ip began in 2011 on the set of HBO’s “Game of Thrones” where they played star-crossed lovers Jon Snow and Ygritte.

King to star as Chisholm in biopic: Regina King is set to star in and produce “Shirley,” the feature film biopic about Shirley Chisholm, America’s first Black congresswo­man.

The film will be written and directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker John Ridley, with production expected to begin later this year. The story tracks Chisholm’s 1972 presidenti­al campaign.

“Shirley Chisholm’s fearless determinat­ion has been an inspiratio­n to so many of us, and with this film, we hope to inspire many generation­s to come,” King said in a statement.
