Bradley remains stuck on sideline

Veteran sits out 21st game with strained left calf

The restarting line continues to be pushed back for Miami Heat guard Avery Bradley.

Having again been listed as questionable the day before the game, Bradley was declared out Friday afternoon for the Heat’s Friday night game against the Indiana Pacers at American-Airlines Arena.

Bradley now has missed 21 games with a strained left calf sustained in a Feb. 3 home loss to the Washington Wizards. He has appeared in only 10 games since being signed as a free agent in the offseason, having also missed eight games due to COVID-19 and then two games due to a knee contusion.

Pandemic protocols also took forward Udonis Haslem out of the picture Friday, with the Heat formally listing him as out due to NBA health and safety protocols, with contact-tracing the reason, possibly having him away from the team for a week. He has not tested positive for COVID-19.

Haslem, 40, has yet to play this season.

Forward Andre Iguodala, who missed Wednesday night’s loss to the Memphis Grizzlies due to a sore left hip, was listed as questionable on the NBA’s 1:30 p.m. injury report but later ruled out as game time drew closer.

Iguodala also missed the second half of Tuesday night’s home victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Newly acquired forward Trevor Ariza was cleared Friday to participate against the Pacers, after previously being listed in the league’s health and safety protocols, having been out of the league since last season’s March shutdown.
