Two Oreo-themed doughnuts arrive at Krispy Kreme

Krispy Kreme’s latest treat? It’s a tempting, tasty union that might be able to satisfy the most demanding sweet tooth.

Available now through April 18 are a pair of limitededition Krispy Kreme Oreothemed doughnuts — the Oreo Cookie Glazed Doughnut and Oreo Cookie Overthe-Top Doughnut.

The former is described as a Krispy Kreme Original Glazed doughnut “covered in rich OREO Cookie glaze, filled with cookies and KREME, and finished with an icing drizzle and OREO Cookie pieces,” the company said on its website. Perhaps best suited for chocolate lovers, the Oreo Cookie Overthe-Top Doughnut is “an OREO Cookie Glazed doughnut topped with cookies and KREME filling, drizzled with chocolate icing and finished with an OREO Cookie wafer,” according to Krispy Kreme.

Here’s a list of participating locations that are offering Oreo doughnuts. Some local Krispy Kreme stores that have them include: the Broward Boulevard location, at 2510 W. Broward Blvd.; in Delray, at 1240 W. Hillsboro Blvd.; and Tamarac East, at 4299 W. Commercial Blvd.

This isn’t Krispy Kreme’s only big announcement in recent weeks. The doughnut chain announced last month that customers who present a valid COVID-19 vaccination card will receive a free Original Glazed doughnut — an offer good every day at any time at all participating shops in South Florida and across the U.S. for the rest of 2021.

That offer, which began on March 22, is part of an effort “to show our support for those who choose to get vaccinated,” the company said.

Everyone, including those who choose not to get vaccinated, is included in another deal: A free Original Glazed doughnut and a medium coffee available every Monday, no purchase necessary, through May 24.
