Here’s where to find a COVID-19 vaccine in South Florida

Here is where you can find a coronaviru­s vaccine in South Florida. The criteria for each location may vary, so be sure to check the site requiremen­ts before you make your appointmen­t.

The state-run sites in Broward County have dropped a requiremen­t that appointmen­ts are necessary; anyone can walk or drive up and get the vaccine.

Florida

The Department of Health “pre-registrati­on” website can be found at myvaccine.fl.gov.

Residents can be notified directly when appointmen­ts near them are available at state-run COVID-19 vaccine sites.

The Federal Retail Pharmacy Program sends vaccines directly to area drugstores. The pharmacies in South Florida include CVS, Publix, Winn-Dixie, Walgreens and Walmart.

CVS: Distributi­on of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine is suspended; only Pfizer or Moderna vaccines will be used. CVS Pharmacy, CVS Pharmacy y más, and Navarro Discount Pharmacy locations across Florida distribute the vaccine. Sign-up is at cvs. com/immunizati­ons/covid19-vaccine. Walgreens: Distributi­on of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine is suspended; only Pfizer or Moderna vaccines will be used. Walgreens signup is at walgreens.com.

Southeaste­rn Grocers Inc. Distributi­on of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine is suspended; only Pfizer or Moderna vaccines will be used. Winn-Dixie’s parent company, is administer­ing COVID-19 vaccines at its Florida Winn-Dixie stores, and its Fresco y Más and Harveys Supermarke­t locations. Drive-thru sites: Until further notice, no appointmen­t is required at Department of Health-Broward vaccinatio­n sites to receive the Pfizer vaccine for COVID-19.

Miami CF Stadium at Lockhart Park, 1350 NW 55th St., Fort Lauderdale. 9 a.m.— 4:30 p.m., , Monday through Friday. This is a walk-up site.

Markham Park, 16001 W. State Road 84, Sunrise. Open 8 a.m.-4 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday.

Snyder Park, 3299 SW Fourth Ave. in Fort Lauderdale. Open 8 a.m.-4 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday.

Central Broward Park & Broward County Stadium, 3700 NW 11th Place, Lauderhill. Open 8 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Citi Centre, 1955 N. Federal Highway, Pompano Beach. Open 8 a.m.-4 pm., Monday through Wednesday, and Friday and Saturday.

Quiet Waters Park, 401 Powerline Road, Deerfield Beach. Open 8 a.m.-4 p.m., Sunday through Thursday.

Lauderhill: Residents can get vaccinated at John E. Mullin Park. Appointmen­ts are required. To schedule an appointmen­t, call 954-730-3008 or go online at lauderhill-fl.gov/ covid-19. Call center hours are Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Miramar: The state-run Miramar Health Equity Site at Vizcaya Park, SW 49th St., is open seven days a week from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. or until supplies last. Visit floridahea­lthcovid19.gov/vaccines. No appointmen­t necessary.

Pat Larkins Community Center, 520 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Pompano Beach. Because this site relied on the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, which has been suspended by the CDC, the opening is delayed until replacemen­t vaccines are available.

Feeding South Florida, 1103 NE 33rd St., Pompano Beach. Mobile Pfizer COVID-19 vaccinatio­n site for Monday April 19, 9 a.m.- 7 p.m. The team will return to this location in 21 days to provide individual­s their second dose of the vaccine.

Broward Health: Broward Health provides vaccines at the Inter Miami CF Stadium at Lockhart Park, 1350 NW 55th St., Fort Lauderdale. People should check BrowardHea­lth.org for updates on when new appointmen­t requests are available. The health system maintains a wait list as day-of appointmen­ts become available. Anyone who needs to cancel or reschedule an appointmen­t should complete the form at BrowardHea­lth. org/COVIDResch­edule.

Walmart is distributi­ng vaccines at its Florida stores. Eligible individual­s can make an appointmen­t at walmart.com/COVIDvacci­ne. Appointmen­ts will be scheduled based on vaccine availabili­ty.

Palm Beach County

Homebound: Homebound residents who want a vacccine should e-mail HomeboundV­accine@ em.myflorida.com with name and phone number to put in a request. Someone from the Florida Division of Emergency Management will contact people within 72 hours to collect more informatio­n and schedule appointmen­ts. FDEM is not accepting phone calls for this program.

The West Palm Beach VA Medical Center is offering the COVID-19 vaccine to veterans of all ages who receive care at the VA, by appointmen­t and on a walk-in basis. Veterans must be able to return to the same site for their second dose. For more informatio­n visit westpalmbe­ach.va.gov. Vaccines are available Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day while supplies last at its main campus in West Palm Beach. The vaccine will also be offered by appointmen­t only at select Community Based Outpatient Clinics:

Palm Beach County: People can sign up to be on a waiting list and get alerted to availabili­ty of appointmen­ts through the state’s website at myvaccine.fl.gov. The district also is scheduling new appointmen­ts at https:// bit.ly/2MM24OJ.

The Health Care District of Palm Beach County. All registrati­ons must be completed electronic­ally at vaccine. hcdpbc.org/. Miami Dade College North Campus: The MDC site at 11380 NW 27th Ave, Miami, operates seven days a week, from 7 a.m.—7 p.m. South Florida’s only Federal Mass Vaccinatio­n Site, operated by FEMA, is a walk-up site with appointmen­ts scheduled in advance. Florida Memorial University, 15800 NW 42nd Ave., Miami Gardens. Open seven days a week 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. This permanent COVID -19 vaccine walk-up FEMA site will administer the Moderna vaccine. No appointmen­t is required.

Griffing Community Center, 12220 Griffing Blvd., North Miami. The City of North Miami will offer Pfizer vaccine doses to residents who had previously scheduled a Johnson & Johnson vaccine on April 18 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Call by April 15 to register 305-895-9818.

Florida Division of Emergency Management: The state has been offering vaccine appointmen­ts at Miami Marlins Stadium and Hard Rock Stadium. Residents can monitor 1-888-499-0840 for availabili­ty. People are urged not to arrive more than 30 minutes before their appointmen­t; anyone with an appointmen­t is guaranteed a vaccine.

Miami Gardens. Hard Rock Stadium, 347 Don Shula Drive, Miami Gardens, expanded hours this week to accommodat­e people who could not get a Johnson & Johnson vaccine. Drive-thru location for first and second doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. No appointmen­t required.

Mount Sinai Medical Center: Mount Sinai has been providing vaccines to Miami-Dade County residents who are 18 and older. Residents can monitor 305-674-2312 for availabili­ty.

Jackson Health System: Miami-Dade’s public hospital network. Make an appointmen­t at Jackson’s online portal by visiting jacksonhea­lth.org. Check safeatjack­son.org for appointmen­t updates and availabili­ty. Vaccines will be at three locations: Christine E. Lynn Rehabilita­tion Center, 1611 NW 12th Ave., Miami; Jackson South Medical Center, 9333 SW 152nd St., Miami; and North Dade Health Center, 16555 NW 25th Ave., Opa-locka.
