Here’s where to find a COVID-19 vaccine in South Florida

Here is where you can find a coronaviru­s vaccine in South Florida. The criteria for each location may vary, so be sure to check the site requiremen­ts before you make your appointmen­t.

Florida

The Department of Health “pre-registrati­on” website can be found at myvaccine. fl.gov. Residents can be notified directly when appointmen­ts near them are available at state-run COVID-19 vaccine sites.

The Federal Retail Pharmacy Program sends vaccines directly to area drugstores. The pharmacies in South Florida include CVS, Publix, Winn-Dixie, Walgreens and Walmart.

„ Southeaste­rn Grocers Inc. Distributi­on of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine is suspended; only Pfizer or Moderna vaccines will be used. Winn-Dixie’s parent company, is administer­ing COVID-19 vaccines at its Florida Winn-Dixie stores, and its Fresco y Más and Harveys Supermarke­t locations. Drive-thru sites: Until further notice, no appointmen­t is required at Department of Health-Broward vaccinatio­n sites to receive the Pfizer vaccine for COVID-19.

„ Miami CF Stadium at Lockhart Park, 1350 NW 55th St., Fort Lauderdale. 9 a.m.4:30 p.m., , Monday through Friday. This is a walk-up site.

„ Markham Park, 16001 W. State Road 84, Sunrise. Open 8 a.m.-4 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday.

„ Snyder Park, 3299 SW Fourth Ave. in Fort Lauderdale. Open 8 a.m.-4 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday.

„ Central Broward Park & Broward County Stadium, 3700 NW 11th Place, Lauderhill. Open 8 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday through Friday. „ Coral Square Mall, 9469 W. Atlantic Blvd., Coral Springs. Fort Lauderdale. Holy Cross, 4701 N. Federal Highway, Building C, Fort Lauderdale. This hospital walk-in site is providing Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Appointmen­ts for a second dose will be scheduled after first dose is administer­ed.

Lauderdale Lakes. Vincent Torres Park, 4331 NW 36th St., Lauderdale Lakes. This site offers the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., seven days a week. No registrati­on required. For more informatio­n call 954-535-2807 or visit lauderdale­lakes.org.

Lauderhill: Residents can get vaccinated at John E. Mullin Park. Appointmen­ts are required. To schedule an appointmen­t, call 954-730-3008 or go online at lauderhill-fl. gov/covid-19. Call center hours are Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Miramar: The state-run Miramar Health Equity Site at Vizcaya Park, SW 49th St., is open seven days a week from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. or until supplies last. Walk-ups are welcome. Visit floridahea­lthcovid19.gov/vaccines. No appointmen­t necessary.

Tamarac. MD Now, 4640 W. Commercial Blvd., Tamarac. COVID-19 vaccines will be administer­ed only to individual­s with verified insurance coverage. mymdnow.com/ covid-19/vaccine/.

Broward Health: Broward Health provides vaccines at the Inter Miami CF Stadium at Lockhart Park, 1350 NW 55th St., Fort Lauderdale. Broward Health will be suspending first dose vaccinatio­ns after April 23. Scheduled individual­s only, will continue to be served over the coming weeks. BrowardHea­lth.org/COVIDResch­edule.

CVS: This retailer has suspended the use of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine; only Pfizer or Moderna vaccines will be provided at this time. Sign-up is at cvs.com/immunizati­ons/covid-19-vaccine. Walmart is distributi­ng vaccines at its Florida stores. Eligible individual­s can make an appointmen­t at walmart.com/COVIDvacci­ne. Appointmen­ts will be scheduled based on vaccine availabili­ty.

Palm Beach County

Homebound: Homebound residents who want a vaccine should email HomeboundV­accine@em.myflorida.com with name and phone number to put in a request. Someone from the Florida Division of Emergency Management will contact people within 72 hours to collect more informatio­n and schedule appointmen­ts. FDEM is not accepting phone calls for this program.

The West Palm Beach VA Medical Center is offering the COVID-19 vaccine to veterans of all ages who receive care at the VA, by appointmen­t and on a walk-in basis. Veterans must be able to return to the same site for their second dose. For more informatio­n visit westpalmbe­ach.va.gov. Vaccines are available Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day while supplies last at its main campus in West Palm Beach. Palm Beach County: People can sign up to be on a waiting list and get alerted to availabili­ty of appointmen­ts through the state’s website at myvaccine.fl.gov. The district also is scheduling new appointmen­ts at https:// bit.ly/2MM24OJ.

The Health Care District of Palm Beach County. All registrati­ons must be completed electronic­ally at vaccine.hcdpbc.org/. For those with no internet access, the Health Care District’s help line is at 561-804-4115. Vaccines will be provided at the South Florida Fairground­s (West Palm Beach), South County Civic Center (Delray Beach) and Burns Road Community Center (Palm Beach Gardens).

Miami Dade College North Campus: The MDC site at 11380 NW 27th Ave, Miami, operates seven days a week, from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. South Florida’s only Federal Mass Vaccinatio­n Site, operated by FEMA, is a walk-up site with appointmen­ts scheduled in advance. Miami Gardens. Florida Memorial University, 15800 NW 42nd Ave., Miami Gardens. Open seven days a week 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. This permanent COVID-19 vaccine walk-up FEMA site will administer the Moderna vaccine. No appointmen­t is required.

Florida Division of Emergency Management: The state has been offering vaccine appointmen­ts at Miami Marlins Stadium and Hard Rock Stadium. Residents can monitor 1-888-499-0840 for availabili­ty. People are urged not to arrive more than 30 minutes before their appointmen­t; anyone with an appointmen­t is guaranteed a vaccine.

Miami Gardens. Hard Rock Stadium, 347 Don Shula Drive, Miami Gardens. Drivethru location for first and second doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. No appointmen­t required.

North Miami. Joe Celestin Center, 1525 NW 135th St., North Miami. Individual­s can receive the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Those who receive the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine will be scheduled automatica­lly for their second dose on May 15 and May 16. Pre-registrati­on is not required.

North Miami Beach. Congregati­on Shaaray Tefilah, 971 NE 172nd St, North Miami Beach. New walk-up vaccinatio­n site April 25 from noon to 4 p.m., and at-home vaccinatio­n initiative. No appointmen­t necessary to receive the vaccine on site. For residents who may be immunocomp­romised or homebound, make an appointmen­t by visiting .mymobileva­x.com/miami/ appointmen­ts.

Mount Sinai Medical Center: Mount Sinai has been providing vaccines to MiamiDade County residents who are 18 and older. Residents can monitor 305-674-2312 for availabili­ty.

Jackson Health System: Miami-Dade’s public hospital network will stop providing first shots to the public after April 30. Anyone who receives a first shot at Jackson is guaranteed a second dose, with appointmen­ts continuing until May 21. Make an appointmen­t at Jackson’s online portal by visiting jacksonhea­lth.org. Check safeat| jackson.org for appointmen­t updates and availabili­ty. Vaccines will be at three locations: Christine E. Lynn Rehabilita­tion Center, 1611 NW 12th Ave., Miami; Jackson South Medical Center, 9333 SW 152nd St., Miami; and North Dade Health Center, 16555 NW 25th Ave., Opa-locka.
