LAUDERHILL — Three people were injured in a shootout in broad daylight at a busy South Florida intersection, police said, including one man who was identified as rapper Syko Bob, a close friend of fellow Broward County rapper Kodak Black.

All three have been released from the hospital, but they were telling detectives nothing about what happened when the bullets flew Monday in Lauderhill, police said.

On Instagram, however, Syko Bob seemed to indicate he was fine and that he hadn’t been hurt.

“Please stop talking about ‘get well,’ when s—ain’t wrong,” he says in the video. “...Don’t send me s—about no ‘get well’ no more when s—- ain’t happen to me.”

Syko Bob and two other men were driving in a tan car about 3 p.m. Monday in the 1000 block of North State Road 7 just north of Sunrise Boulevard.

A black BMW pulled up and shots were fired, police said. The tan car tried to speed away but it struck several other vehicles in traffic and stopped.

The BMW approached again and more shots were fired. This time, someone in the tan car returned fire and the black car drove off and struck a van.

When officers arrived at the scene, the two damaged cars were abandoned and shell casings littered the road.

Some bystanders had helped the wounded and drove them to the hospital.

All three were treated and released Monday night or early Tuesday, said Lt. Michael Santiago.

Police are looking for the driver of the BMW and have not disclosed the names of the injured except to say that one of the three was called Syko Bob.

Syko Bob is a Broward rap artist who is a close friend of Kodak Black. Affiliated with Kodak Black’s record label and clothing line Sniper Gang, Syko Bob is shown hanging out with Black in a post shared on Kodak Black’s official Instagram on Monday.

Syko Bob, who has 116,000 followers on Instagram, is featured prominently on the song and in the video for Kodak Black’s track “Righteous Reapers,” which was released in March.
