Sun Sentinel Broward Edition

Changes to print editions of the Sun Sentinel

-

Dear Reader,

As a careful reader, you will notice some changes to our print edition, which started with Thursday’s newspaper.

The biggest change is that we have shuffled the sections to focus the first section on our local news and opinion, as well as obituaries.

We also have introduced a new, multitopic section that leads off with Nation & World news. That new section will be the second of three sections most days. That’s where we have moved our national and foreign stories and photos. Readers have told us they like to have Nation & World in a separate section from local news, with its own section front.

This Nation & World section will include a chapter devoted to Business coverage as well as a new chapter called Living. That’s where you will find subscriber favorites like Ask Amy, horoscopes, comics and puzzles.

Sports remains a separate section with classified ads in the back.

We hope that these changes, while they may take some getting used to, offer you more consistency and predictability in the makeup and order of the newspaper.

Other items of note:

„■ On Wednesday, Food remains a separate section. Non-food features and puzzles can be found in the Living chapter at the back of Nation & World, including a new health page that includes the People’s Pharmacy.

■ Thursday’s Autos moves to Saturdays. You can find that content in the back of the Sports section.

„■ On Friday, the TV grid and movie reviews move into the Living chapter at the back of Nation & World. The Community Marketplace also will appear in the Living chapter.

„■ On Sunday, the Travel & Life section remains mostly the same with arts, health, book reviews, columns such as Miss Manners and Ask Amy, puzzles and comics.

„■ The Success personal finance pages that used to appear on Mondays and Sundays will all be found in the Business chapter of new Nation & World section on Sundays.

We’ll still have the same amount of news space dedicated to our journalism as opposed to advertising. Please consult the index on this page to guide you through the changes.

Thank you for subscribing.
