CITY OF FORT LAUDERDALE RESOLUTION NO. 21-147

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA, RESCHEDULING THE OCTOBER 19, 2021, CONFERENCE AND REGULAR MEETINGS OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA, TO OCTOBER 21, 2021, AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION, RESCISSION OF CONFLICTING RESOLUTION PROVISIONS, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-26 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, meetings of the City Commission are to be held on the first and third Tuesdays of each month; and

WHEREAS, Section 2-26 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, further provides that “at any meeting the commission may, by resolution, reschedule commission meeting dates to dates other than as established in this section, provided that the resolution so adopted is published in the official newspaper of the city once at least three (3) days before the date so fixed”; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Commission of the City of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to reschedule its Conference and Regular Meetings of October 19, 2021, to October 21, 2021;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA:

SECTION 1. That the scheduled October 19, 2021, Conference and Regular Meetings of the City Commission of the City of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, are hereby rescheduled to October 21, 2021, commencing at 1:30 p.m. Public hearings, ordinances, resolutions, and motions shall be heard commencing at 6:00 p.m. on October 21, 2021.

SECTION 2. That the City Clerk shall cause this resolution to be published once in the official newspaper of the City at least three (3) days before October 19, 2021.

SECTION 3. That any resolution or part of a resolution in conflict herewith be, and is hereby rescinded to the extent of such conflict.

SECTION 4. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect upon its adoption.
