Stoneman Douglas QB Spallina off to hot start
Quarterback Ryan Spallina has started two games for Stoneman Douglas in his short high school career. Both have been ringing successes.
Spallina completed 15 of 18 passes for 285 yards and three touchdowns as the Eagles beat Coconut Creek 32-14 on Thursday.

Isaiah Pierre | Olympic Heights
The senior running back scored twice, once on an interception return and the other on a carry, in the Lions’ 22-14 win over John I. Leonard.
Clayton Cannon II | Stoneman Douglas
Cannon had four catches and a team-leading 113 receiving yards in the Eagles’ win. He also scored one touchdown.
Davi Belfort | Cardinal Newman
The freshman quarterback was 22 for 33 for 225 yards and two touchdowns in a 40-14 loss to host Cardinal Gibbons.
Gabriel Lenamon | Stoneman Douglas
Lenamon, a junior linebacker, led Stoneman Douglas with 12 tackles, three tackles for loss and two sacks in their victory.
Dylan Rizk | Cardinal Gibbons
Rizk completed 13 passes on 25 attempts for 224 yards and a touchdown. He also ran for 60 yards and a score as the Chiefs beat Cardinal Newman 40-14.
Tyreek McPherson | Pahokee
The senior defensive back returned two punts for 101 total yards and a score in the Blue Devils’ 46-0 win over Immokalee.
Kamari Moulton | Cardinal Gibbons
Moulton carried the ball 11 times for 91 yards and two touchdowns in the Chiefs’ season-opening victory.
Keonvios Bouie | Pahokee
The senior quarterback completed 5 of 12 passes for 98 yards and two touchdowns in the Blue Devils’ win over Immokalee. He also had a rushing score.
Isaiah Farris | Cardinal Gibbons
Farris, a senior defensive back, returned an interception 79 yards for a touchdown, and he scored on a kickoff in Cardinal Gibbons’ victory.
Will Rimes | Seminole Ridge
The senior quarterback completed 5 of 6 passes for 97 yards and one score and added 81 yards on the ground as the Hawks recorded a 27-14 win over Forest Hill.
Mark Fletcher | American Heritage
Fletcher was a threat in the running and passing game. He ran the ball one time for 82 yards and he caught four passes for 94 yards as the Patriots beat Chaminade-Madonna 26-24.
Sebastian Christian | Seminole Ridge
The junior tailback ran for 92 yards and two touchdowns in Seminole Ridge’s win.
Blake Murphy | American Heritage
Murphy showed off his arms and legs in the Patriots’ win. He completed 11 of 17 passes for 169 yards and a touchdown, and he ran the ball 18 times for 80 yards and a score.
Garrens Catul | Wellington
The junior running back ran 16 times for 165 yards and one score and was 2 for 4 for 60 yards passing and one touchdown in the Wolverines’ 27-6 win over Miami Southridge.
Josh Miloch | Wellington
The senior linebacker and running back had six tackles, including three for loss, on defense and contributed 60 yards on nine carries for the Wolverines in their win.
Jaeden Kinlock | American Heritage
Kinlock, a senior linebacker and a Harvard commit, had a team-leading 12 tackles and four tackles for loss in Heritage’s win.
Corey Reddick | Atlantic
The senior running back finished with six carries for 103 yards and two touchdowns in a 56-0 win against Lake Worth.
Devaughn Mortimer | Dillard
Mortimer, a senior Florida State commit, had 108 receiving yards on three catches in the Panthers’ 21-0 win over Deerfield Beach, which ended at halftime.
Omari Mitchell | Atlantic
The senior running back had eight carries for 117 yards and two touchdowns in Atlantic’s win.
David Law-Mortimer | Dillard
Law-Mortimer had seven tackles and an interception in one half of play against Deerfield Beach on Friday.
Zadarius Ramsey | Atlantic
The senior linebacker recorded 13 tackles, a fumble recovery and an interception for a touchdown in the Eagles’ victory.
Jaferris Finley | Dillard
Finley had five carries in the first half against Deerfield Beach. He ran for only 14 yards but scored twice. He also threw a 41-yard double pass to Devaughn Mortimer that put Dillard in the red zone and set up a touchdown.
Dylan Furshman | Benjamin
The freshman running back had 18 carries for 165 yards rushing and two touchdowns in his first start at running back in a 36-20 victory over Pine Crest.
Xavier Terrell | St. Thomas Aquinas
Terrell led the Raiders with 126 rushing yards and two touchdowns. He also had one 59-yard touchdown catch in St. Thomas Aquinas’ 24-21 loss to Tampa Jesuit.
Trakwon Harris | Benjamin
The junior running back ran 13 times for 116 yards and a score in Benjamin’s win.
Derrieon Craig | St. Thomas Aquinas
Craig, a senior linebacker, had nine tackles, a sack and an interception in the Raiders’ loss.
Tyler Aronson | Benjamin
The sophomore quarterback completed 14 of 22 passes for 246 yards and two touchdowns in a 36-20 victory over Pine Crest.
Brady Kelly | Calvary Christian
Kelly led the Eagles to a 55-0 win over Taravella, completing 11 of 15 passes for 215 yards and four touchdowns. Kelly also ran for two touchdowns in the win.

The senior center had 14 pancake blocks for the second week in a row in Benjamin’s victory.

Heywood, a junior running back, carried the ball 13 times for 123 yards and a touchdown in the Eagles’ win over Taravella.
