Where to get monoclonal antibody treatments for COVID-19 in Florida

- By Cindy Kent

Monoclonal antibody clinics for COVID-19 are available throughout Florida. People who are 12 and older and at high risk, and who have contracted or been exposed to COVID19, are eligible for this treatment. Treatment is free and vaccination status does not matter.

Florida has a standing order signed by the state’s surgeon general that makes this treatment available without a prescription or referral if administered by an eligible health care provider; referrals and prescriptions can be used at other health care providers. The monoclonal antibody treatment delivered at the state-sponsored clinics is free to patients.

This treatment does not replace vaccines to prevent COVID-19. It does, however, help reduce the severity of the infection once a person getsapositiveCOVIDtest.
