Melody Riendeau Lavrich passed away peacefully on December 14, 2021, at the age of 74 with her two sons by her side. Melody was born July 23, 1947, and lived in Wareham, Massachusetts. She recently reconnected with many friends from that era. At the age of 8, her family moved to Hollywood, FL, where she attended Little Flower School and graduated from South Broward High School. She became a student at Florida State University joining the Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority and returned to Hollywood where she raised her two sons, Richard and Chris DeLucia. Moving to Bradenton, FL, Melody graduated with a business degree from the University of South Florida and embarked on her lifelong career of accounting, taxes and investments. She also set up the Charter membership of La Sertoma, an international organization for women interested in community service. Eventually Melody moved back to Hollywood opening her accounting firm of Melody R. Lavrich, EA, where she worked for 30 years. Her biggest hobby was doll collecting, specializing in Xavier Roberts Cabbage Patch dolls and starting her second business, Merry Bear’s Emporium. Melody’s love of animals was apparent leaving behind several dogs, birds and guinea pigs. She is survived by her sons, Richard DeLucia and his wife Amanda of Jupiter, FL, and Christopher DeLucia and his wife Brigette of Davie, FL. Melody in addition leaves behind 6 wonderful grandchildren Annabella, Christopher, Nicholas, Delaney, Madelyn, and Samantha. We all miss her dearly.
