Concerned about WBC traffic and parking? (Maybe you should be.)
The World Baseball Classic returns to South Florida this year, with the Marlins hosting three rounds of games at loanDepot park, starting Saturday.
The beautiful weather Miami is famous for comes with some of Miami’s other well-known issues: traffic and parking woes.
Here’s what organizers want you to know:
There is a transportation hub set up at the Government Center in downtown Miami. The parking fee of $15 includes a complimentary shuttle service to and from loanDepot park. Hours of operation are: March 11 — 15 from 9 a.m. — 1 a.m., and March 17 — 21 from 3 p.m. — 1 a.m. For more info about the transportation hub, go to Marlins.com/ WBCTransportation.
If you are feeling lucky and want to try to park at loanDepot park, get there at least two hours before game time. The limited parking on site is on a first come, first-served basis, with no advance parking sales. It costs $40 per game, while supply lasts.
If trains are your thing, Brightline has adjusted its travel schedules. The trains are offering complimentary shuttle service for guests between MiamiCentral Station and loanDepot park during the World Baseball Classic. Fans can book their rides at GoBrightline.com and view shuttle information.
