Palm Beach Central’s Anthony Wynds Jr. and St. John Paul II’s Ryan Rizk both delivered stellar performanc­es in Week 9 to lead their teams to victory. Each week, the Sun-Sentinel ranks the county’s top overall performers.

1. ANTHONY WYNDS JR. | PALM BEACH CENTRAL

The Broncos’ workhorse RB carried the ball 27 times for 260 yards and two touchdowns in the team’s 31-24 district win over Jupiter.

2. RYAN RIZK | ST. JOHN PAUL II

The Eagles QB was lights-out on Friday, finishing 25-34 for 429 yards with four TDs and 1 intercepti­on in the team’s 51-48 win over John Carroll.

3. ARMANI HAYES | CARDINAL NEWMAN

The junior had two catches for 110 yards and one TD, rushed six times for 85 yards and a score, and returned an INT for a touchdown against Village Academy.

4. VOSHON JACKSON | ROYAL PALM BEACH

The senior back was outstandin­g against Olympic Heights, rushing for over 200 yards and two TDs in the team’s 40-28 win.

5. GIO RICHARDSON | OXBRIDGE ACADEMY

The sophomore quarterbac­k finished 9-15 for 143 yards and four touchdowns in the ThunderWol­ves’ 58-7 romp over American.

6. JALEN WRIGHT | PALM BEACH LAKES

With the Rams needing a win to stay in the District 13-7A playoff race, Wright rushed for 146 yards and two touchdowns on just 12 carries in the team’s 20-14 win over Forest Hill.

7. LOGAN ROBINSON | WELLINGTON

The senior kicked four field goals, including the winning 31-yarder with 30 seconds left, to help the Wolverines clinch the District 9-8A title with a 12-10 win over Palm Beach Gardens.

8. JARED KIRKPATRIC­K | KING’S ACADEMY

The Lions remained unbeaten, thanks in part to the senior RB, who rushed for 139 yards and two TDs in the team’s 55-7 victory over Miami La Salle.

9. ZAVION THOMPSON | ATLANTIC

The senior QB guided the Eagles to a crucial district win, rushing for two TDs and throwing another in their 41-6 win over Lake Worth.

10. CHRISTIAN ELLISON | GLADES DAY

The versatile senior had three catches for 52 yards and 1 TD, plus added an intercepti­on and fumble recovery on defense in the Gators’ win over West Oaks Academy.
