McCarthy soccer team helps with homeless

Archbishop McCarthy’s girls soccer team continued a tradition of community service, spending Thanksgiving volunteering with LifeNet4Families, an organization that aims to end hunger in the homeless population of Broward County. For the sixth consecutive year, the Mavericks volunteered at the LifeNet4Families kitchen where they prepared Thanksgiving meals for families in need. The team also assisted in preparing countless Emergency Food Boxes, which were delivered to families facing hardships over the holiday weekend. *** BOYS BASKETBALL Sagemont 59, Doctors Charter 26 Isiah Kirby had 11 points and Samir Stewart had eight points and six steals for Sagemont (3-1) in a win over Doctors Charter. *** Oxbridge Academy 58, Palm Beach Gardens 41 R.
