0-line gets back two starters

DAVIE – The Dolphins won’t have the entire starting offensive line out on the field Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens, but the left side should be intact.

Branden Albert is returning to his spot as Miami’s starting left tackle after being sidelined two games because of a dislocated left wrist. Albert will play with a brace covering his wrist, which was surgically repaired.

“You know I’ll be there on Sunday,” Albert said.

And Laremy Tunsil, the team’s 2016 first-round pick, is expected to play left guard despite a shoulder injury that made him miss the win Sunday over the 49ers.

“I’m going to look like Robocop out there, so don’t judge me,” Tunsil said, referring to the harness he plans to play with to protect his injured left shoulder.

Both players are listed as questionable, but they have each guaranteed they’ll be playing against the Ravens, which possess the NFL’s best run defense, limiting opponents to 74.9 rushing yards a game and 3.4 yards per carry.

“We have a big challenge. Obviously, this is one of the top defenses in the league. Anytime you can get your starters out there and competing against these guys, that’s critical for us as far as having success,” said head coach Adam Gase. “When we were moving the ball pretty good, we had all five of those guys out there, and it makes life fairly simple.

“This will be nice,” Gase said, referring to the return of Albert, who was selected to the Pro Bowl last season, and Tunsil.

Miami’s run game was sputtering without Albert, Tunsil and center Mike Pouncey, who is sidelined by a hip injury. The Dolphins are averaging 99.6 yards per game the past three contests. But Tunsil is confident the unit will pick up where they left off before the injuries.

“We came together as one,” Tunsil said, referring to the offensive line, which is credited by Miami’s players and coaches for being the catalyst that began the team’s six-game winning streak. “We were rolling,”

Tunsil tried to play last Sunday, but realized he couldn’t during warmups.

“It was very disappointing,” Tunsil said when asked about missing the 49ers game despite practicing all week. “I feel like I let my team down not be 100 percent. [Injuries] are part of it. Coming into the NFL you know there are going to be bangs and bruises. You just have to play through it. You have to learn how to play through injuries.”

As for Pouncey, who is rehabbing his second hip injury this season, he was ruled out for his second straight game. Gase said the goal is to get Pouncey back before the season concludes. of Florida standout, has only started six of eight games he’s played in this season because of his medical issues, which includes a broken left hand ....

Linebacker Kiko Alonso (hamstring), cornerback Xavien Howard (knee), defensive tackle Earl Mitchell (back) all had their practice participation limited on Friday. Alonso and Mitchell are questionable for Sunday. Howard was ruled as doubtful….

Receiver DeVante Parker, who has missed practice all week because of a back injury he suffered against the 49ers, ran on the side on Friday. He was listed as questionable for Sunday, but Gase plans to be overly cautious with Parker’s back injury.
