Reversal of fortune for Tannehill in loss as he’s hit nine times

- By Chris Perkins Staff writer

BALTIMORE — Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill wasn’t good in Sunday’s 38-6 road loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Tannehill, who was superb during the team’s six-game winning streak with nine touchdowns and one interception, came crashing back to earth with three interceptions and one touchdown against the Ravens.

Tannehill’s 40 pass attempts were his second-most this season after the 45 he had in the 31-24 loss at New England, a game in which the Dolphins trailed 31-3 in the third quarter, their largest deficit of the year. Miami trailed Baltimore, 24-0, at halftime for their second-largest deficit of the season.

One of Tannehill’s interceptions was a possible touchdown to wide receiver DeVante Parker but it resulted in an interception when cornerback Lardarius Webb snatched the ball from Parker in the end zone. It was the second time this season that Parker has had a reception taken away for an interception. On another interception Tannehill was under pressure and threw behind wide receiver Jarvis Landry. The pass was tipped and then picked off. The other interception was just a poor throw that was intended for Kenny Stills.

“It was something different on every one,” Tannehill said of his three interceptions.

Tannehill was only sacked twice but he absorbed nine quarterback hits.
