The installation of overhead signs and their structural supports will close all lanes of Interstate 75 on two separate nights this week.

All northbound lanes of I-75 from Royal Palm Boulevard to eastbound I-595 and northbound Sawgrass Expressway will be closed from 11 p.m. Wednesday to 4:30 a.m. Thursday.

Drivers can take Exit 15 at Royal Palm Boulevard, go west to Weston Road, north to State Road 84 and west to access Alligator Alley.

Go east on State Road 84 and make a U-turn at Flamingo Road, then west on I-595 to access the Sawgrass Expressway north.

All southbound lanes of I-75 between Griffin Road and Sheridan Street will be closed from 11 p.m. Thursday to 5 a.m. Friday.

Motorists will be detoured at Exit 13A to take Griffin Road east to Flamingo Road, then south to Sheridan Street and west to reenter I-75 southbound.

Meanwhile, ongoing upgrades for the Brightline high-speed rail service will close the Florida East Coast railway crossing at Northeast 17th Court in Fort Lauderdale from 7 a.m. Thursday to 6 p.m. Dec. 15.

Drivers can cross the tracks at Northeast 24th Street, north of the construction.

Construction schedules could change depending on weather or other circumstances, according to the Florida Department of Transportation.
