The four officers of the Palm Beach County Republican Party are returning to their leadership positions through the 2018 elections.

Chairman Michael Barnett, Vice Chairwoman Tami Donnally, Secretary Cheryl Mullings and Treasizing Jane Pike were re-elected unanimously Wednesday night by Republican committeemen and committeewomen from throughout the county.

The drama-free contests were similar to the Palm Beach County Democratic Party, which reelected its officers earlier this month.

Palm Beach County’s Republi- who took less than 10 minutes for their elections, were a sharp contrast from Broward County’s Republicans, who took three hours to elect four officers last week.

Barnett said Palm Beach County Republicans would spend much of 2017 building for the 2018 elections. “We want to continue our intensive minority engagements that we’ve been doing in the Haitian commuurer nity,” he said. Barnett, an early supporter of Donald Trump’s presidential candidacy, played a big role in organizing a campaign season meeting between Trump and Haitian-American leaders in Miami.

He wants to expand those efforts with the Hispanic community in addition to building the local party’s social media presence and develop a better system for organcans, volunteers by email.

Barnett, a Boca Raton lawyer who got involved with the Republican Party on behalf of Jeb Bush as a high school junior in 1993, is also running for vice chairman of the Republican Party of Florida. So far, he faces no opposition.
