Fishing clinic: The Internatio­nal Game Fish Associatio­n has a free fishing clinic for children and adults from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Deerfield Beach Fishing Pier. Rods, reels, terminal tackle and bait will be provided, along with free access to the pier, seminars featuring Capt. Skip Dana and Steve Kantner and learning stations. To pre-register, which is required for free pier access, call 954-924-4308 or email reservatio­ns@igfa.org. All participan­ts will be entered in a drawing to win a pair of Costa sunglasses.

Bass results: Gary Milicevic and Travic Drapal won the 2016 Roland Martin Marine Center Series Championsh­ip on Lake Okeechobee with a total weight of 41.44 pounds Saturday and Sunday to earn $15,000 and the Interstate Batteries Champions Cup. First-day leaders Benny Townend and Jay Jastrzemsk­i finished second at 39.28 to win $5,000. Steve Forssell and Ron Yentz were third at 37.66 to win $3,000.

KOG trail: The 11th King of the Glades open team bass tournament trail begins Jan. 8 on Lake Okeechobee out of Clewiston. Entry fee is $80 per team and includes a free boaters appreciati­on raffle after the weigh-in. Sign in at Roland Martin’s Marina or call Mike Lendl at 954-393-5596. Bass tournament: Bob Newland has a small boat bass tournament from first light to 1 p.m. Jan. 15 at Tradewinds Park in Coconut Creek. The field is limited to 20 teams and at least one team member must be 18 years old.
