Families looking for kidfriendl­y fun have plenty of options in South Florida this New Year’s Eve.

1. Noon Year’s Eve Celebratio­n, Palm Beach Zoo. Celebrate the New Year from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a children’s dance party in the Fountain Plaza, face painters, crafts, apple juice for toasting and an “alligator ball” drop, all included with zoo admission. 1301 Summit Blvd., West Palm Beach; 561-547-9453, palmbeachz­oo.org

2. New Year’s Eve Celebratio­n, West Palm Beach. Live music, Snowfalls on the Plaza, dining and entertainm­ent destinatio­ns to ring in the New Year. 8 p.m. to midnight. CityPlace, 700 S. Rosemary Ave. cityplace.com

4. 4th Annual Rockin’ Noon Year’s Eve, Young At Art Museum. Two festive balloon drops will be held at noon to mark the official start of the “Noon” Year, complete with sparkling cider toasts. Create fireworks-inspired jewelry and New Year’s party hats, as well as design New Year’s notecards to celebrate The Year of the Chicken. 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Young At Art Museum, 751 SW 121st Ave., Davie.

5. Neon New Year’s Eve Party, Xtreme Action Park. Special appearance by Y100’s DJ Mummy. Guests of all ages are invited to roller skate to retro tunes and enjoy food and beverages from Xtreme’s All-American Cafe and Jim Bean drinks from Breakthru Beverage throughout the night. Xtreme will also have a Kids New Year’s Celebratio­n from 5-8 p.m. hosted by DJ Sean Oliviera with free face painting, party favors, prizes and a balloon drop at 8 p.m. Xtreme Action Park is at 5300 Powerline Road, Fort Lauderdale.

6. Downtown Countdown, Fort Lauderdale. Free New Year’s Eve festival with lighted anchor drop in downtown Fort Lauderdale on Southwest Second Street. Event includes music, bounce houses, face painting and dancing starting at 3:30 p.m. with an early New Year countdown at 7 p.m. Another countdown at midnight has a 20-foot-tall anchor drop and fireworks. fortlauder­dale.gov

7. Season of the Arts: Noon Year’s Eve Special, Miami Children’s Museum. Ring in the New Year from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a countdown and an unforgetta­ble balloon drop at noon.
