Tiger Woods has committed to play in the Honda Classic, the PGA Tour event announced Wednesday.

Woods, last played the Honda Classic in 2014, but pulled out in the final round after 13 holes, citing a bad back. He ended up playing in the Doral event the next week but pulled out of the Bay Hill tournament after that.

Woods returned to the tour last month at the Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas. He finished 15th, 14 strokes behind winner Hideki Matsuyama of Japan.

“It’s so great to see Tiger Woods back swinging a golf club and competing again,” Honda Classic Executive Director Kenneth R. Kennerly said in a news release. “He has been such a big part of the growth that we have experienced at The Honda Classic since he moved to Jupiter Island. I know that his presence at this year’s tournament will generate enormous excitement amongst the fans and his fellow competitors who appreciate the challenges he has faced the past year and a half becoming healthy again.”

Woods just turned 41 and last won a PGA event in 2013.

He is starting the new year at Torrey Pines, where he has won eight times as a pro. The Farmers Insurance Open announced that Woods has committed to playing Jan. 26-29.
