War against the press raises warning flags

Before Adolf Hitler started his Holocaust against the Jews, he commenced his destruction of the media. By denouncing the media as the enemy, he was able to control information written or aired.

We have the same situation. Donald Trump has declared war on the media. Daily you hear “fake news, fake media.” Demeaning news reporters is now the standard at press conferences at the White House. If you can make the people believe that only his words are sacred, you have the onset of totalitarianism.

The Republican and Democratic parties must have a united front against this type of behavior. The question now is will they for the good of this great country unite for the good of all? Sol Cohen, Boca Raton
