Good morning

-

Primo conditions contributed to a number of strong rounds by players in the morning. Miami native Ryan Blaum (Westminster Christian High) followed soon after Hagy with a 65, as did Jimmy Walker, Sean O’Hair and Grillo.

Grillo was just off on a 20-footer on No. 18 that would have matched Hagy’s score, but moved into a tie for third at 7-under.

“There was pretty much no wind the first 12, 13 holes and I took advantage of that. The last six holes are tricky and you have to manage somehow to make par on those,” said Grillo, who followed that formula precisely.

Grillo, a 24-year-old Argentinian with one PGA victory under his belt, is another player strong off the tee whose game fits the demands of PGA National.
