Hatton rises

England’s Tyrrell Hatton, whose 66 Saturday boosted him into second place and a spot in the final pairing with Rickie Fowler, is a virtual unknown in the United State despite ranking 18th in the world.

Back in home in Marlow, England, he’s the pride of the Harleyford Golf Club, where about 30 members chipped in £250 ($311.50) apiece to help him launch his pro career.

“That set me up for a year and covered all my expenses, which was great,” Hatton said. “That was amazing of them to do.”
