On the CBS television show “Survivor” and on social media, he’s known simply as “Troyzan,”

ala Tarzan. He’s Troy Robertson, the tanned and ponytailed Miamian who is a return contestant on the show’s 34th season, called “Survivor: Game Changers,” which debuted March 8.

CBS brought back 20 ex-contestants, a mix of fan favorites and one two-time winner, to outplay

and outperform one another in challenges for the $1 million prize. Robertson originally competed on the show’s 24th season, “Survivor: One World” in 2012, placing eighth.

As this season’s title suggests, the show’s producers chose former players who will “make the kinds of moves that will change the game,” as host Jeff Probst said in the first episode.

So, who is Troyzan? Here are some facts about South Florida’s current “Survivor.”

Strike a pose: A former model, Robertson is currently a commercial photographer. His work has appeared in Sports Illustrated’s swimsuit editions. He bought his first camera at age 17 and taught himself to shoot, according to his website.

Proudest moment: During his first season on “Survivor,” he desperately needed an “immunity idol,” which protects contestants from being kicked off the island. When he got it, he jumped and declared to his competitors, “This is my island. You can’t beat me!” It became part of the show’s pop culture history. In a recent preview video, he said, “I don’t think I’d be

back here unless I’d said those words. That’s all anybody ever remembers.”

Age is just a number :At 55, he’s the oldest tribe mate this season, and he’s proud of it. “I’m the oldest person on this cast and I act the youngest,” he said.

Social media following: During the March 15 episode, Robertson trended as #Troyzan on Twitter. One fan commented: “No matter what you think of him, he just loves the game so much.” Another fan wrote: “Hope you win, Troyzan!”

“Jungle boy”: Robertson describes himself as a jungle boy because “I’ve lived my life as an adventure, and I’m extremely in touch with nature. I’ve been a jungle boy my whole life, so fishing, firemaking and shelter-building come very easily to me.”

Ready to win: Robertson had a strategy to get a head start on the new season. “I’ve been rewatching past ‘Survivor’ seasons to pick up any clues I missed the first time around,” he said.
