- — Craig Davis

Today: 1:05 p.m. Where: Champion Stadium, Kissimmee Marlins pitchers: RHP Stephen Fife, LHP Justin Nicolino, RHP Brian Ellington, LHP Hunter Cervenka Braves starter: TBA

Sunday’s games: At Jupiter, LHP Adam Conley had a rocky outing in a 10-4 loss to the Nationals, allowing seven runs (four earned) in 2 2/3 innings while throwing 79 pitches (only 46 strikes). Conley got off to a rough start, needing 37 pitches to get through the first inning while allowing three unearned runs on a bases-loaded double by Cliff Robinson on a hanging slider. “Obviously, a mistake there. Other than that, I was not throwing competitive pitches early in the count and falling behind,” said Conley, who walked three. He was unable to get through the third as he gave up four more runs on four hits. Conley’s ERA for the spring soared to 9.35. Manager Don Mattingly said there is still time for Conley to get dialed in, but pointed out, “Guys are getting ready, but you also want to see some type of results.” One of them is RHP Jose Urena, who tossed 4 1/3 scoreless innings against the Mets at Port St. Lucie, despite walking four and giving up four hits. The Marlins’ split squad held on for a 7-5 victory after taking a seven-run lead into the ninth.
