The Panthers enter Saturday’s game against Chicago searching for their second straight win after a 3-1 victory over Arizona on Thursday night. Florida has not won consecutive games since a five-game winning streak from Feb. 11-20. Since then, the Panthers have gone 4-10-1 as their playoff hopes dwindled. Florida enters Saturday seven points out of the Eastern Conference’s final wild card spot with nine games remaining. … In Thursday’s game, Panthers forward Jonathan Marchessault scored two goals in 26 seconds to lift Florida. James Reimer made 22 saves. Marchessault leads the Panthers with 25 goals this season. … The Blackhawks enter Sunrise in a drastically different position than the Panthers. Chicago has already clinched a playoff spot in the Western Conference with 102 points. It has won six of its past seven games after beating Dallas in a shootout on Thursday. … The Blackhawks won the first meeting between the teams, 2-1, in a shootout on Nov. 29. … Florida’s Roberto Luongo and Aaron Ekblad are not expected to play Saturday.
