President Trump spent his Saturday golfing, tweeting, explaining, congratulating and nominating.

Dressed in a white shirt, black slacks and red cap, Trump started the day by dashing from Mar-a-Lago to the Trump International Golf Club by 9:05 a.m., where he hit the links and had lunch.

A small gathering of protesters was there to welcome him with signs that read, “Loser,” “Resign” and “Impeach Trump.”

Several groused about the missile attack on Syria.

A smaller group of supporters was also camped on Summit Boulevard around a chrome contraption reminiscent of the Ghostbusters’ wagon. It bore a banner blaring “Make America Great Again.”

“We’re big Trump supporters,” said car owner Karl Lindroos, 69, of Lantana. “We converted this into the Trump-mobile.”

Another supporter joyfully recalled attendAl ing a Trump campaign rally in Melbourne where he got to hug the then-president-to-be.

While at the club, the president congratulated, “Our great military men and women for representing the United States, and the world, so well in the Syria attack.”

Later, apparently referring to criticism of failing to damage airbase runways, Trump added:

“The reason you don’t generally hit runways is that they are easy and inexpensive to quickly fix!”

U.S. ships launched 59 Tomahawk cruise missiles, reportedly destroying airfields, aircraftand fueling facilities.

The White House also issued a statement saying the president talked Friday with South Korea’s acting President Hwang Kyo-Ahn who expressed support for the attack on Syria.

The presidential motorcade left the club about 2:15 p.m. and headed north to Southern Boulevard then east past Palm Beach International Airport.

A steady stream of onlookers stopped to take pictures and selfies with Air Force One. The jumbo jet was parked on the tarmac on the south side of the airport in view of Perimeter Road.

and Gloria Lafreniere, both 74, of Killingworth, Conn., winter in Delray Beach and were among those snapping photographs.

“It looks bigger than on TV,” he said. “And shinier,” she added.

About one hour after the motorcade arrived at Mar-a-Lago, Trump’s personal helicopter was seen making what was believed to be the first landing at the recently constructed helipad at his resort.

Palm Beach County Fire Rescue officials said they were on stand-by, which is standard when the president is in town.

Once back at the resort, the president tweeted about Judge Neil Gorsuch, whom the Senate confirmed Friday to become the next justice on the Supreme Court.

“Judge Gorsuch will be sworn in at the Rose Garden of the White House on Monday at 11 a.m. He will be a great Justice. Very proud of him!”

The president also announced he intended to nominate Lee Francis Cissna as director of the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services.

Cissna is currently a director of immigration policy at the Department of Homeland Security.
