Estate in Miami’s historic neighborhood is on the market for $13.5 million.

Tucked away in Miami’s historic Morningside neighborhood, the estate at 5811 N. Bayshore Drive comes with nine bedrooms, two-car garage and a library.

But the home’s focal point is a location that affords the owner a view of picturesque South Florida sunrises.

The 7,011-square-foot mansion, situated on just over an acre, also features seven full and two half-bathrooms. It includes two separate guest areas, 151 feet of water frontage and a 35-foot private dock.

The master suite, located on the second floor, faces Biscayne Bay and includes a large balcony that overlooks the backyard. Built in 1939, the home boasts a breakfast room and an outdoor summer kitchen.

The price tag on the gated estate, which has been fully restored and renovated, is $13.5 million.

A fountain and granite cobblestone driveway greet guests at the front entrance, although the backyard is the premier spot on the property. It offers unobstructed views of the bay to catch the morning sunrise. Soaring royal palms, heated pool, bayside hammock and an outdoor fireplace on a man-made beach complete the picturesque setting.

“This majestic property has it all: historic charm, modern luxury, an excellent location and more,” said Felise Eber, of The Jills team of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, the listing agent.

The property is adjacent to Morningside Park, where residents are welcome at the park’s pool, tennis courts, baseball field and boat ramp.

The Morningside Historic District was originally named Bay Shore when it launched in the early 1920s. Architectural styles from the ’20s and ’30s, including Mediterranean Revival, Mission and Art Deco, are scattered throughout the neighborhood.

The tree-lined streets have been home to several South Florida celebrities and athletes. Singer Enrique Iglesias, former Miami Heat superstar Dwyane Wade and ex-Marlins pitcher Livan Hernandez are among those who have lived in the area.
