Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center has named structural heart disease expert,
Saurabh Sanon, MD, FACC, an interventional cardiologist, as the medical director of its Structural Heart Transcatheter Therapies program. In this role, Sanon will lead the development, implementation and monitoring of the structural heart cardiology programs for Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center. U.S. District Judge Federico A. Moreno of Miami has been appointed to the board of directors of Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, flagship of Miami Children’s Health System. Moreno joins the 18-member panel, which provides oversight and guidance to the 289-bed freestanding pediatric specialty hospital and its network of 10 outpatient centers from southern Miami-Dade County to Palm Beach Gardens. In addition, the hospital reappointed five board members to serve for additional three-year terms. Those reappointed include: Board Chair Alex Soto, former CEO of Insource, Inc., now retired; Jay
Massirman, founder and managing director of Rivergate Companies; Steven McKean, founder and CEO of Acceller, Inc.; Joseph
Nader, regional director, senior wealth adviser, Calamos Wealth Management and
Phillip Newcomm, MD, pediatrician with Physicians to Children.
Recognition
Greg Wright, a multimedia producer in Nova Southeastern University’s Office of Innovation and Information Technology, created a public service announcement on human trafficking that was recognized with a Telly Award. The public service announcement is entitled, Human Trafficking – Modern Day Slavery. The production features two faculty members from the NSU College of Health Care Sciences, Brianna Black Kent, Ph.D., associate chair and Sandrine Gaillard-Kenney, Ed.D., assistant dean, that founded Coalition for Research and Education against Trafficking and Exploitation (CREATE) in 2014, a program that teaches South Florida health care professionals about the signs of human trafficking. The Northern Palm Beach chapter of the American Business Women’s Association announced Tammy Roggen as its 2017 Woman of Excellence at the group’s annual fashion show. The award was given in recognition of community service. Roggen has worked as a band director for 35 years and directs the band at Watson B. Duncan Middle School. Devonshire at PGA National, an Erickson Living retirement community in Palm Beach Gardens, recently celebrated its employees at an employee appreciation gala. Named as employee of the year was Miguel Moronta, security emergency services officer at Devonshire at PGA National; Emma Datis, housekeeper, at Chatsworth, Devonshire’s Continuing Care Neighborhood, was named employee of the year; and Bibi Baijnauth, staffing assistant at Chatsworth, was named Impact Player of the Year.

Anthony Librizzi has joined Cushman & Wakefield as a managing director of commercial brokerage in the company’s West Palm Beach office. Previously Librizzi was with CBRE as senior vice president assisting both office landlords and tenants in West Palm Beach, North Palm Beach and along the Treasure Coast. Colliers International has announced the expansion of its manufactured housing efforts on a national level with the additions of Michael Nissley, executive vice president; Chris Clay, senior vice president; and Alyssa Conlon, senior associate. Cushman & Wakefield announced that the commercial brokerage team of Executive Director Stuart T. Gordon, Director Matthew A. Bittel, and Brokerage Coordinator Yesenia Soto joined the firm in Miami.
Education
Dr. Brent Goldman is chief executive officer and co-founder of Xceed Preparatory Academy in Coral Springs. Previously, he was the co-founder and Head of School at The Sagemont School in Weston, for 21 years. Goldman has also co-founded two online high schools, University of Miami Online High School and Smart Horizons Career Online Education. Additionally, Steve Margolis was named chief financial officer. Margolis was the co- founder and chief operating officer of Centerline Homes, He is also the co-founder of several consumer products businesses including Bioforte USA, GFS Applied Research, Natural Misting Solutions, and Simplesa. In other executive appointments, Betty Norton was appointed as Head of School for Xceed Prep Coral Springs. Previously, Norton taught middle school in Broward County. Ilana
Tescher was named marketing director. She was previously an account executive at BoardroomPR. She is a former reporter for Front Row Tampa Bay.
Engineering
James Ford, PE, joined HNTB Corp. as senior roadway project manager – engineering — based in the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office.
Sports
Jane Geddes has been appointed chief executive officer of the Executive Women’s Golf Association, the women-focused amateur golf association, headquartered in Palm Beach Gardens. Geddes was most recently executive director of the International Association of Golf Administrators (IAGA) and previously played professional golf, winning two major championships and 11 LPGA Tour events.
Construction
Hedrick Brothers Construction, a West Palm Beach based construction management company, announces the following promotions and new hires. Leslie Ockunzzi was promoted to project administrator. Ockunzzi began her career at the company in 2013 as a project coordinator. Julian Osorio has been promoted to superintendent. Osorio joined the company in 2011 and has worked as an apprentice carpenter, carpenter, leadman, foreman, and assistant superintendent. John Richardson has been promoted to project manager. He joined the company in 2002 as a project engineer and has also worked as assistant project manager. Wanda Stan has been promoted to pre-construction/estimating coordinator. Stan joined the company in 2014, and was formerly an estimating assistant. Tanya Stiles has been promoted to project administrator. Stiles joined the company in 2000 as estimating coordinator, and also had the role of project coordinator. Shligton Estime joined the company as a project administrator. Estime’s career started at Hedrick Brothers in 2011 as an intern. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in construction management from the University of Florida. Jacob Carrier joined the company as a project administrator.
Culinary
Adam Dombrowski has been promoted to corporate chef of the Rocco’s Tacos & Tequila Bar brand. Dombrowski joined the Rocco’s Tacos team in 2009, starting as sous chef in Boca Raton. From 2011 to 2016 he was executive chef of Rocco’s Fort Lauderdale.
Jim Tallman was named director of dining at Devonshire at PGA National, the Erickson Living retirement community in Palm Beach Gardens. Before joining Devonshire, Tallman spent six years with Tommy Bahama Restaurants. He previously worked at Marriott Hotel properties as director of restaurants, including the San Diego Marriott Marquis and the San Antonio Marriott Riverwalk.
