Suspect at large after shooting, dumping girlfriend at hospital
A man shot his girlfriend at an Oakland Park hotel, kidnapped her and then delivered her to a hospital emergency room in critical condition, authorities said.
Janelle Jesuca, 36, of Plantation, has remained hospitalized since the May 8 attack; the suspect has so far eluded authorities.
Bruce Leroy Williams, 34, of Deerfield Beach, is wanted on a charge of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, Broward Sheriff’s deputies announced Monday.
Also known as “Pig,” Williams is 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs about 220 pounds. He may be driving a 2016 silver Hyundai Tucson SUV with Illinois tag R364796.
The violence broke out shortly after 12:30 p.m. May 8 when shots were fired at the University Palms Hotel, 4900 Powerline Road, authorities said.
“Williams shot his girlfriend and then kidnapped her,” said Joy Oglesby, a spokeswoman for the Broward Sheriff’s Office. “He dropped the victim off outside the emergency room entrance of a local hospital, where she remains in critical condition.”
