In eight outings as a Marlin, Volquez has one quality start and averaged 5.08 innings. … Gray, the once-limitless Oakland ace, had a tough 2016 (5.69 ERA, 1.50 WHIP) but has bounced back to a degree this year after missing the first month with a strained right shoulder. He has posted back-to-back quality starts against the Rangers and Red Sox.
