If you’re a talented singer or musician, here’s your big chance to wow thousands during a football game.

The winner of “Boca Raton Bowl Idol” will get to perform the national anthem at this year’s bowl game. The prize includes 10 tickets to the game. Competitors, both for vocal and instrumental performances, began submitting entries Monday.

The annual Boca Raton Bowl is set for 7 p.m. Dec. 19 at Florida Atlantic University’s football stadium, according to the event’s website. Football teams will face off while the bowl is aired live on ESPN.

This is the first year of the “American Idol”-like competition, part of the lead-up celebration to the bowl, now in its fourth year.

Applicants must be Florida residents and at least 13 years old. Submission videos must include raw audio, be in English and only contain the first verse of “The Star-Spangled Banner.”

The online application and submission rules can be found at thebocaratonbowl.com.

Online entries have to be sent in by July 9. The public then votes on the entries until July 23 via an online poll. Judges and the public will ultimately narrow the list to three finalists before a winner is crowned.
