SOUTH FLORIDA OFFSHORE Capt. Chris Lemieux of Le-Mieux Charters said fishing out of Boynton Beach Inlet has been excellent for sailfish and snappers. “A good number of sailfish are on the deep edge of the reef along with a lot of bonitos,” Lemieux said. “The snapper bite is really good approaching the full moon from 40-70 feet. Nice mangroves and yellowtails. There are still a few dolphin offshore, but very scattered from 1,200-1,500 feet.” Capt. Stan Hunt of Rebound said some nice blackfin tunas showed back up this week and there were lots of kingfish and bonitos around, along with a couple of sailfish and a few wahoo for boats fishing out of Hillsboro Inlet. THE KEYS Reef fishing out of Key West has been good for mangrove and yellowtail snappers. Dolphin were biting farther offshore, along with a few blue marlin. SOUTH FLORIDA INSHORE Snook were biting along the beaches in Everglades National Park. Mangrove snappers, sea trout and redfish were being caught in the backcountry. EVERGLADES/FRESHWATER Bass were biting soft-plastic topwater lures on the flats at the south end of Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge.
