Plenty of hitters to help contenders

-

Teams looking to boost their offense have plenty of options on the trade market. Here are 11 hitters who could switch teams before the end of the month:

Yonder Alonso. The A’s 1B was an All-Star — .275, career-high 21 homers, 44 RBIs — but is a free agent after the season.

Jay Bruce. The Mets RF is hitting .265 with 23 homers and 59 RBIs and is in the final season of a seven-year, $63 million contract. The three-time All-Star is a high-priced rental.

Melky Cabrera. The White Sox LF is hitting .283 with 10 homers and 51 RBIs. The White Sox may have to pay part of his salary.

Zack Cozart. The Reds SS is having a career year — .311, nine homers, 35 RBIs — and was an All-Star starter, but he’ll be 32 next month.

Lucas Duda. The Mets 1B is a free agent after the season and has 14 home runs and 30 RBIs.

Curtis Granderson. The Mets OF has rebounded after a poor start and has 13 homers and 37 RBIs with a .232 average. He has lots of playoff experience.

Tommy Joseph. The Philles 1B has 15 home runs and 43 RBIs in 298 at-bats just one season after hitting 21 homers in 315 at-bats. And he’s only 25.

Jonathan Lucroy. The Rangers C is hitting .256, lowest since his rookie season in 2010, and he’s a free agent after the season.

J.D. Martinez. The Tigers RF is a costly rental as an impending free agent, but the power hitter could improve any lineup.

Andrew McCutchen. The Pirates CF has bounced back after a subpar year and is hitting .295 with 17 homers and 50 RBIs. Only 30, he could anchor the middle of a lineup.

Daniel Nava. The Phillies OF is hitting .297 with a .389 OBP in a limited role, and the switch hitter is a valuable bench player.
