Lanes temporaril­y closing, shifting on some roadways

Several lanes are being temporaril­y shut down or shifted on some of South Florida’s interstate­s, redirectin­g traffic in the week ahead.

Between the Golden Glades Interchang­e and State Road 112, from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., all northbound I-95 express lanes, and two to three northbound general-use lanes from Northwest 29th Street to Northwest 50th Street, will be closed nightly through

Interstate 95:

Thursday.

Likewise, all southbound I-95 express lanes will be closed 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. nightly through Thursday, and from 11 p.m. Friday to 11 a.m. Saturday.

Two general-use lanes on southbound I-95 will be closed from Ives Dairy Road south to Northwest 191st Street from 11 p.m. Friday to 8 a.m. Saturday.

One lane on the northbound I-95 ramp to eastbound Interstate 195 and on the westbound I-195 ramp to northbound I-95 will be closed nightly through Thursday.

The closures are part of a project to upgrade overhead electronic signs, build five emergency stopping sites within I-95 express lanes from Northwest 62nd Street to Northwest 131st Street, and replace the concrete pavement from Northwest 29th Street to Northwest 79th Street.
