Leaks of no import to well-run White House

-

To Turning Point USA’s Joshua Thifault, one of the last of the sycophantic Trump supporters, I would like to direct this question regarding his July 30 South Florida 100 entry: If President Trump was operating his office in a legal, ethical and moral way, why would he have to worry about leaks? What would his enemies leak? That he is running his office in a proper manner?

If Trump wants to stop the leaks, a good starting place would be to advance an agenda that fosters a desire among his underlings to be loyal. He can come clean about obvious Russian contacts with his campaign. He can develop a managerial style that is not threatening, but rather beneficial to the public and his Cabinet. Then no one would have a reason to leak. He would have no need for a mob-style hit man like potty-mouthed Anthony Scaramucci, aka “The Mooch,” who admits to smiling in your face as he gives you the axe.

As for Obamacare imploding, that was done by the Republicans deliberately destabilizing the insurance market, by not opening exchanges in Republican states and refusing to expand Medicaid. GOP tax “reform” (i.e. tax cuts for the rich) or not, the economic implosion will come in time, as the Republican Congress has already started to deregulate the banking system. We will see a bubble before we see a downturn in our economy, sometime in the near future, because of the same Republican antics made in the Bush-Cheney era, and will be exacerbated by Trump.

We can “Make America Great Again” by ridding ourselves of the albatross around the government’s neck known as Trump, or at least by Congress disregarding him altogether.
