State college football notes.

It shouldn’t come as a shock that one of the most highlyanticipated college football weekends in recent memory also features some of the most sought-after tickets.

The Chick-fil-A Kickoff Classic, which will feature a matchup of top 10 programs in Alabama and Florida State on Saturday, Sept. 2 is the top selling game on StubHub.

According to the secondary ticket market site, the Chickfil-A Kickoff Classic is outselling its closest competitor, the Advocare Classic featuring Michigan and Florida at AT&T Stadium in Dallas. The game was declared a sellout several weeks ago. Tickets for the Chick-fil-A Classic are going for an average of $845 with the price being slightly less for the Advocare Classic at $259.

Sales for this year’s Chick-fil-A Kickoff Classic are up 266 percent from last year’s matchup and the state of Florida is the top seller with 46 percent of the tickets sold coming from the Sunshine State.

Florida is also where a lot of the tickets for the Advocare Classic are coming from with 24 percent, right behind Texas at 33 percent. Michigan is a distant third at 8 percent.

Michigan fans, however, have made the Wolverines the top drawing team on the site for the fourth straight season, according to StubHub.

And according to the site, the Big Ten is the top selling conference, outselling the SEC by 11 percent so far, followed by the ACC, Pac-12 and Big 12.
