MIAMI — The Miami Heat’s open tryouts for their developmentalleague affiliate, the NBA G League Sioux Falls Skyforce, have been postponed from Sunday until Sept. 24 due to the uncertainly of Hurricane Irma.

The tryouts scheduled for Sept. 16 in Sioux Falls will continue to be held as scheduled.

Both tryout sessions will come in front of Skyforce coaches and Heat officials, with potential invitations to follow to the Skyforce’s training camp in October.

The Miami tryout is now scheduled for Ransom Middle School, at 2045 South Bayshore Drive in Miami.

There is a $150 pre-registration fee, with the registration deadline changed from Friday until Sept. 22.

The Sioux Falls tryout will be Sept. 16 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the team’s home arena, the Sanford Pentagon, with an 11:30 a.m. check-in. That tryout also requires a

$150 pre-registration fee, with a Sept. 14 registration deadline.

Applicants must be eligible to play in the NBA G-League and are required to pre-register by submitting the registration, release, and health information authorization forms along with the nonrefundable fee.

Tryout forms are available online (skyforceonline.com) or at the Skyforce office (2131 S. Minnesota Ave. in Sioux Falls).

In addition, the youth camp that Heat forward Justise Winslow has been scheduled to hold Saturday at AmericanAirlines Arena has been postponed, with no makeup date announced. Wednesday over a France roster loaded with NBA talent.

Dragic, who has led Slovenia in scoring in all but one game during its 5-0 march through pool play in Helsinki, Finland, this time closed with 22 points and eight assists in 28 minutes.

Having won Group 1, Dragic and Slovenia are now idle until a Saturday Round of 16 game in Istanbul, Turkey. A victory there would lead to a quarterfinal game next Tuesday, also in Istanbul.

The tournament runs through Sept. 17, scheduling that only would be a factor if Slovenia advances to the event’s Final Four.

Heat training camp opens Sept. 26, with their preseason opening Oct. 1 against the Atlanta Hawks at AmericanAirlines Arena and their regular season starting Oct. 18 against the Orlando Magic at the Amway Center.
