MONDAY, 9/11/17

FPL tells administra­tors they are coming but do not show. (Nursing home) 5:34 p.m., Natasha Anderson, a representa­tive of the facility, calls Gov. Scott’s cellphone asking for immediate assistance. Anderson tells a state emergency line that Hollywood Hills needs to be made priority. (Nursing home) Nursing home reports AC issues, but not that conditions are dangerous or that patients are at risk. (Governor’s Office) 6:57 p.m., Anderson calls emergency line again and is told the situation has been reported and escalated. (Nursing home) 7:29 p.m., Florida Department of Health in Tallahasse­e tells Anderson it is working on the emergency. (Nursing home) 7:35 p.m., an aide for Gov. Scott refers voicemail from Anderson to officials at AHCA and DOH. (Governor’s Office) 9:24 p.m., Anderson contacts DOH emergency line to say she has received no updates. (Nursing home) At 9:58 a.m., Tallahasse­e DOH emergency line tells Anderson many hospitals and health care facilities have FPL problems due to the storm. Anderson again asks to be made a priority. (Nursing home) Anderson immediatel­y calls Scott’s cellphone and leaves a message. (Nursing home) 10:25 a.m., an aide for Scott refers informatio­n from Anderson and Jorge Carballo, Rehabilita­tion Center administra­tor, to officials at AHCA and DOH. (Governor’s Office) 12:41 p.m., Anderson again calls Scott’s cell. (Nursing home) 12:53 p.m., Hollywood Hills asks Memorial Regional Hospital for more spot coolers; they are placed at 3:15 p.m. (Nursing home) 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Dr. Frances Cadogan from Humana Health Plan makes rounds at Hollywood Hills; doesn’t report any people in distress. (Nursing home) 4:17 p.m., AHCA Health Services & Facilities Consultant Susan Glass advises Carballo to call 911 if patients are at risk.
