Badgley, Langham earn ACC honors
CORAL GABLES — Hurricanes WR and PK two of the heroes of No. 8 Miami’s 25-24 win over Georgia Tech on Saturday, earned ACC recognition Monday.
Langham, who had a key 28-yard catch on fourth-and-10 during the Hurricanes’ final drive, was named the ACC Co-Receiver of the Week, an honor he shares with Syracuse’s
Meanwhile Badgley, who had four field goals including the 23-yard game-winner with four seconds left, was named ACC Specialist of the Week.
Langham and Badgley are the second and third Hurricanes to earn Player of the Week honors, following
who was named ACC Receiver of the Week after Miami’s win at Florida State two weeks ago.
In his first start, Langham had five catches for 100 yards, including a long of 32 yards. He had caught just four passes in his Miami career ahead of the Georgia Tech game.
“It means a lot,” Langham said after his performance against the Yellow Jackets. “It’s been a long time since I’ve been here, I haven’t really played much. I’m happy to help the team out in any way.”
Badgley, a senior, was 4-for-4 on field goals, including his game winner.
The ACC announced Miami’s Oct. 28 game at North Carolina will kick off at noon. The game will air on ABC, ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU.
