Knights land another commitment

- Chris Hays

The No. 18 UCF football team received its second football commitment in three days Tuesday night when Miami Booker T. Washington safety

pulled the trigger and pledged to become a Knight. The 6-foot-2, 185-pound safety, who is in his first season at Booker T. after transferring from Miami Central, announced his decision via his Twitter account.

He posted a note that read, “I would like to thank god for blessing me with this opportunity to further my education and football dreams . ... It [has been a] long and amazing experience! But with the help from my parents and coaching staff, I will proudly ... announce that I am committed to the the University of Central Florida.”

He picked UCF over 12 other scholarship offers, including South Carolina, NC State, Mississippi State and USF.

What stands out most about McMillian is his speed and his ability to close on the ball carrier. He is the No. 85-ranked safety in the country, according to 247Sports composite rankings.

He is the 16th commitment to the UCF 2018 football recruiting class and third defensive back, joining of Ellsworth Community College in Iowa, and

of Miami Senior High. No. 18 UCF vs. Austin Peay, Saturday, 5 p.m.
